Main character energy ✨

There’s this idea I’ve been obsessed with lately, Reader.

Internal conflict.

Why you ask?

Well…

There’s one reason I’m not quite ready to share yet 🤐🤐🤐

The other reason?

I’ve been having a lot of internal conflict lately—like an overthinker does…

And it made me think of how our ideal client's minds work the same work. No duh, because we’re all humans.

(If you’re a robot reading this—kindly unsubscribe 🤖)

We ALL have a goal we want to achieve (or at least I’d hope so)—but a lot of times, there’s something stuck in the way of us actually crossing the finish line.

^^^ Hence, the concept of internal conflict flying around in my head like the Sanderson Sisters on Halloween night 🧹

The good news for you, Reader?

You can use this concept of internal conflict on your website—to get more inquiries or make more sales.

Let’s form a calming circle & discuss it:

YOUR ideal clients have a problem you can help solve. <<< I’m sure you’re familiar with this concept.

Whether that’s capturing their memories on their wedding day…

Giving their walls a splash of color with your art…

Making sure they don’t have grammatical errors in their writing…

Or something in between.

You CAN help them with their struggle. Or in this case their internal conflict.

And how you sell your expertise on your website—boils down in the cauldron to making sure your website copy hits on your ideal client’s pain points.

^^^ Because you’re ideal clients wouldn’t have the problem you solve if there weren’t those pain points in the first place.

But, in your website copy, you have to convince them to face their fears & that you can guide them through to the finish line.

And if they choose not to work with you…

They’ll just continue to spiral in their own internal conflict—which is holding them back from reaching their goal.

Now, I could just leave you there, Reader—with a link to my favorite DIY copywriting templates.

(Here’s the link to that blog.)

BUT…

There’s another problem we need to address—if you want your website copy to effectively sell for you.

You have to make sure your website's DESIGN highlights all the website copy you wrote.

Because your website copy needs to be displayed in a way that makes it as clear as “This is Ice.” on how to work with you or buy something from our shop…

Which is why I dusted off my witch’s blogging hat & wrote a brand-new blog about WHY you need to write your website copy before you start designing your website.

^^^ Because a bad website design can ruin your website copy if you don’t install it right.

Now, I’ve gotta fly & get more work done—because this Monday is Monday-ing Reader 🦇

Hocus pocus I’ve gotta focus 👻

Storytelling has been on my mind A LOT lately, {SUB NAME}. One of the reasons why I won’t get into yet… But the other reason is because storytelling’s underused in the creative biz space. ^^^ When it should be your biggest marketing flex. Because your story is the one thing no one can steal from you or attempt to replicate, Reader. Your brand aesthetic, SOP’s + processes, your theories… Can all be copied + pasted by anyone in your industry. But, your story? ^^^ It would be weird if someone...

It’s October 3rd, Reader. And the limit does not exist on how many quotes from Mean Girls live rent-free in my head—like: “That’s so fetch.”—Gretchen Wieners “I’m a mouse. Duh!”—Karen Smith “Grool. I meant to say cool but then I started to say great.”—Cady Heron “She doesn’t even go here!”—Damian “But you're, like, really pretty.”—Regina George 🎀 I know, I know. My taste in cinema is super refined. But that last one. THAT 🎀 one. That one reminds me of the reaction someone SHOULD have when...

Hey, Reader! A few weeks ago I heard someone say this: “You can’t expect a Lamborghini, without a Lamborghini budget.” 🚗 And if that ain’t the truth I don’t what is. We’ve all had that *one* (or five) client or customer who's tried to test this theory—and it never goes well 😬 Because while our expectations when we’re buying something SHOULD match reality—that doesn’t always happen. ^^^ That’s why it’s so important to present your brand in the right way—that attracts clients who CAN afford...
